Sat 7 October: Wanborough to Guildford; 7 miles

Misty MorningA fairly hilly walk through Surrey farmland and woodland, crossing the Hog's Back.  There will be a lunch break half way at the Withies Inn in Compton.

The walk, including the meal stop, should take around four  and a half hours. You can download a map and elevation profile here.

You can also look at a map and aerial photograph side by side at the brilliant Where's the path? site, though the route is not marked on that.

Meet at Wanborough station at 1006, or on the 0915 Haslemere train from platform 13* at Waterloo, changing at Guildford for the Wanborough train from platform 6*. The Haslemere train can also be boarded at Clapham Junction (0922, platform 9*).  If travelling by train, buy a cheap day return ticket to Wanborough, which is the  farther station from London.

For more information about this or any other PFA walk, phone me on 07904 286774, or email me at secretary@pfalondon.org
