Sat 29 June: Higham circular; 9 miles

Cliffe FortA fairly flat walk in Kent, through farmland, gravel pits and briefly on the Thames Estuary, passing Cliffe Fort (right.) There will be a meal break after about four miles at the Six Bells in Cliffe.

The walk, including the meal stop, should take around six hours. You can download a map, aerial photograph, elevation profile and gpx file here.

You can also look at a map and aerial photograph side by side at the brilliant Where's the path? site, though the route is not marked on that.

Meet either at Higham station at 1013, or on the 0909 Gillingham train from platform 2* at Charing Cross (this train can also be boarded at London Bridge at 0917, platform 4*, and Lewisham at 0926, platform 4*.)

For more information about this or any other PFA walk, phone me on 07904 286774, or email me at secretary@pfalondon.org
