Sat 24 July: Berkhamsted to Hemel Hempstead; 8 miles

A gently hilly walk through Hertfordshire farmland and woodland. We will stop for lunch after four miles at the Alford Arms in Frithsden.  Including stops, the walk should take about five hours.  You can download a map and elevation profile here.

Meet either at Berkhamsted station at 1010, or on the 0934 Tring train from Euston, which should leave from platform 8*. If travelling by train, buy a cheap day return ticket to Berkhamsted, which is the farther station from London. I will be carrying a PFA bulletin for identification.
