Saturday 5 July: Petersfield to Liss; 8 miles

A fairly easy walk in pleasant Hampshire countryside, though there is one steep climb after a couple of miles. We'll stop for lunch after four miles at the Hawkley Inn in the village of that name. The walk, including stops for breaks, should take around five hours. You can download a map here.

Meet either at Petersfield station at 1032, or on the 0930 Portsmouth Harbour train from Waterloo. If travelling by train, buy a cheap day return ticket to Petersfield, which is the farther station from London.
