Sat 12 August: Newington circular; 8 miles

Twinney Saltings seen from the Saxon Shore WayA fairly flat walk through Kent farmland by the Medway estuary. There will be a meal break after a little over four miles at the Crown in Upchurch.

The walk, including the meal stop, should take around five  hours. You can download a map and elevation profile here.

You can also look at a map and aerial photograph side by side at the brilliant Where's the path? site, though the route is not marked on that.

Meet at Newington station at 1008, or on the 0907 Dover Priory train from platform 2* at Victoria. This train can also be boarded at Bromley South (0923, platform 4).

For more information about this or any other PFA walk, phone me on 07904 286774, or email me at secretary@pfalondon.org
