Sat 2 Dec: Berkhamsted circular; 9 miles

Trees and contrails

A quite hilly walk in Hertfordshire farmland and woodland. There will be a meal break after about four miles at the Bridgewater Arms in Little Gaddesden.

The walk, including the meal stop, should take around five and a half hours. You can download a map and elevation profile here.

You can also look at a map and aerial photograph side by side at the brilliant Where's the path? site, though the route is not marked on that.

Meet either at Berkhamsted station at 0953, or on the 0924 Milton Keynes train from platform 10* at Euston. This train can also be caught at Watford Junction (0941, platform 8*).

For more information about this or any other PFA walk, phone me on 07904 286774, or email me at secretary@pfalondon.org
