Sat 4 November: Aldermaston to Midgham; 7 miles

Copyhold FarmA gently hilly walk through Berkshire farmland and woodland, and along the Kennet & Avon canal.  There will be a lunch break after about three miles at the Bladebone at Chapel Row.

The walk, including the meal stop, should take around five  hours. You can download a map and elevation profile here.

You can also look at a map and aerial photograph side by side at the brilliant Where's the path? site, though the route is not marked on that.

Meet at Aldermaston station at 1025, or on the 0933 Bristol Temple Meads train from platform 3* at Paddington, changing at Reading for the Aldermaston train from platform 1* at 1012.  If travelling by train, buy a cheap day return ticket to Midgham, which is the  farther station from London.

For more information about this or any other PFA walk, phone me on 07904 286774, or email me at secretary@pfalondon.org
