Sat 5 December: Woking to West Byfleet; 7 miles

Farmland and Footpath near Pyrford GreenA fairly flat walk through Surrey farmland and, after lunch, along the Wey Navigation and Basingstoke Canal.   There will be a meal break after four miles at the Anchor in Pyrford.

The walk, including the meal stop, should take around four  and a half hours. You can download a map and elevation profile here.

Meet at Woking station at 0948, or on the 0922 Exeter St David's train from Waterloo. This train can also be boarded at Clapham Junction (0931).  If travelling by train, buy a cheap day return ticket to Woking, which is the farther station from London.
