Sat 13 April: Leatherhead circular; 7 miles

Fields in the Mole GapA walk through Surrey farmland and woodland, gently hilly for the most part, though there is a quite steep descent at the half way mark.  There will be a lunch break after about four miles at the King William IV in Mickleham.  After lunch the path follows the River Mole back to Leatherhead.

The walk, including the meal stop, should take around four  and a half hours. You can download a map and elevation profile here.

You can also look at a map and aerial photograph side by side at the brilliant Where's the path? site, though the route is not marked on that.

Meet at Leatherhead station at 1005, or on the 0924 Dorking train from Waterloo.  This train can also be boarded at Vauxhall (0928) Clapham Junction (0933) Earlsfield (0936) and Wimbledon (0940).

If you are planning to come on this walk, please click on this Doodle poll link to let us know - this will not be taken as a binding commitment, but does help by letting us know roughly how many people to expect (and where to expect them).
