Sat 21 August: Farncombe to Godalming; 7 miles

The towpath and the Lammas Lands east of Town Bridge in GodalmingA moderately hilly walk through Surrey farmland and woodland, and along the Wey Navigation.   There will be a meal break half way at the Jolly Farmer in Bramley.

The walk, including the meal stop, should take around four and a half hours. You can download a map and elevation profile here.

Meet at Farncombe station at 1031, or on the 0945 Portsmouth & Southsea train from Waterloo. This train can also be boarded at Clapham Junction (0952) and Woking (1013).  If travelling by train, buy a cheap day return ticket to Godalming, which is the farther station from London.

COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS: Mixing rules have now been relaxed, so up to 30 people can walk together.  This is more than we have ever had on a PFA walk, so I think we are fairly safe to not limit the numbers.  However, I think it is still a good idea to book the pub for lunch, so please click on this Doodle poll link to let us know if you are coming.

For more information about this or any other PFA walk, phone me on 07904 286774, or email me at secretary@pfalondon.org
