Sat 5 October: Claygate to Stoke D'Abernon; 7 miles

Junction of rides on slopes of Horns HillA fairly flat walk in Surrey farmland and woodland, just inside the M25.   There will be a meal break about half way at the Star in Malden Rushett.

The walk, including the meal stop, should take around four  and a half hours. You can download a map and elevation profile here.

You can also look at a map and aerial photograph side by side at the brilliant Where's the path? site, though the route is not marked on that.

Meet at Claygate station at 1034, or on the 1003 Guildford train from Waterloo. This train can also be boarded at Vauxhall (1007) Clapham Junction (1012) Earlsfield (1015) and Wimbledon (1019).  If travelling by train, buy a cheap day return ticket to Cobham & Stoke D'Abernon, which is the farther station from London.

If you are planning to come on this walk, please click on this Doodle poll link to let us know - this will not be taken as a binding commitment, but does help by letting us know roughly how many people to expect (and where to expect them).
