SUN 14 July: Sole Street circular; 9 miles

Footpath junction near Lodge FarmA gently hilly walk through Kent farmland  and woodland. There will be a meal break after a bit over five miles at the Rose & Crown in Shorne.

The walk, including the meal stop, should take around five and a half  hours. You can download a map and elevation profile here.

You can also look at a map and aerial photograph side by side at the brilliant Where's the path? site, though the route is not marked on that.

Meet at Sole Street station at 0959, or on the 0910 Canterbury East train from platform 4* at Victoria. This train can also be boarded at Denmark Hill (0920) and Bromley South (0934).

If you are planning to come on this walk, please click on this Doodle poll link to let us know - this will not be taken as a binding commitment, but does help by letting us know roughly how many people to expect (and where to expect them). This is particularly important on Sunday walks, because pubs get quite busy at Sunday lunchtimes and it is necessary to book a table.
