Sat 25 May: East Grinstead circular ; 10 miles

A Bluebell Railway train accelerates away from KingscoteA gently hilly walk through West Sussex farmland and woodland. There will be a meal break about half way at the Cat Inn in West Hoathly.

The walk, including the meal stop, should take around six hours. You can download a map and elevation profile here.

You can also look at a map and aerial photograph side by side at the brilliant Where's the path? site, though the route is not marked on that.

Meet at East Grinstead station at 0920, or on the 0820 East Grinstead train from platform 17* at Victoria. This train can also be boarded at Clapham Junction (0827) East Croydon (0840) Sanderstead (0845) and Riddlesdown (0848).

If you are planning to come on this walk, please click on this Doodle poll link to let us know - this will not be taken as a binding commitment, but does help by letting us know roughly how many people to expect (and where to expect them).
