Sat 31 October: Amersham to Great Missenden; 7 miles

A gently hilly walk along the slopes of the Misbourne Valley, through farmland and woodland. There will be a meal break half way at the Plough in Hyde Heath.

The walk, including the meal stop, should take around five hours. You can download a map and elevation profile here.

You can also look at a map and aerial photograph side by side at the brilliant Where's the path? site, though the route is not marked on that.

Meet either at Amersham station at 1002, or on the 0927 Aylesbury train from platform 4* at Marylebone. This train can also be caught at Harrow-on-the-Hill at 0939.   If travelling by train, buy a cheap day return ticket to Great Missenden, which is the farther station from London.

COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS: In line with the latest version of government regulations, this walk is restricted to SIX people, so please click on this Doodle poll link to let us know if you are coming.  The poll will be closed when or if the maximum of 6 people is reached.
