SUN 28 April: Turkey Street to Theobalds Grove; 8 miles

Tree in a pond at Forty Hall Country ParkA fairly flat walk in the Lee Valley. There will be a meal break about half way at the Plough in Crews Hill.

The walk, including the meal stop, should take around five hours. You can download a map and elevation profile here.

You can also look at a map and aerial photograph side by side at the brilliant Where's the path? site, though the route is not marked on that.

Meet at Turkey Street station at 0947, or on the 0915 Cheshunt train from platform 3* at Liverpool Street. This train can also be boarded at Seven Sisters (0933) and numerous other intermediate stations.  If travelling by train, buy a cheap day return ticket to Theobalds Grove, which is the farther station from London.

If you are planning to come on this walk, please click on this Doodle poll link to let us know - this will not be taken as a binding commitment, but does help by letting us know roughly how many people to expect (and where to expect them).  This is particularly important on Sunday walks, because pubs get quite busy at Sunday lunchtimes and it is necessary to book a table.
